We are pleased to welcome back Sam Hafele as our 2008 head coach. Sam has been swimming with the Wahoo Swim Team since 1995 and has been a Wahoo stroke instructor for three years. He was our assistant coach last year.

Sam's swimming experience includes four years at Clear Brook High School as a varsity water polo player and swimmer. He was the captain of both varsity teams and was voted varsity MVP for both teams. Included in his accomplishments is being 100-yard breaststroke district champion both his junior and senior years.

Sam taught year-round swimming to multi-aged children for Summer's Swim Academy in League City 2003-2005. He is currently attending Texas A&M at Galveston majoring in marine biology.

We are pleased to welcome James Giesey as our 2008 assistant coach. James has been involved with the Wahoo Swim Team for four years, and a lane leader for the last three. James' swimming experience includes competing for Clear Brook High School on both the varsity water polo and varsity swimming teams. His best swim stroke is freestyle. James taught year round swimming at Summer's Swim Academy for two years and taught
private swim lessons last year. James is currently a Sophomore at Texas A&M University, studying Aerospace Engineering.
